Visit the Wagon Factory Museum

The Hollenstein Wagon and Carriage Factory and its adjacent Hollenstein House, Fire Station and Cigar Factory are open for tours through the end of October, 2018. The museum is open on the second and fourth Sundays of the month from May through October. Hours are 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Admission is free; donations are appreciated. For visits to the museum on other days and times by appointment, admission is $5.00 per person. Admission is free for children under 12, and for school and scout groups.

**The museum needs additional hosts and hostesses to help greet visitors to our historical museum. Greeters are needed in the wagon factory and the adjacent house. No experience or training is needed; membership in the society is not required. If you would like to help, even if only once during the season, please call Barb Larsen at 920-387-2248 or Mike Mann at 920-960-9071.

A firehouse bell and a fire siren have been put on display in front of our original Mayville firehouse.

We are very appreciative of this donation and hope to thank the mystery benefactor.

The Kettle Moraine Sport Riders club visited the Hollenstein Wagon Factory on Sunday, July 29.   An impressive line-up of about 50 cycles parked along German Street as club members  enjoyed touring the wagon factory, Hollenstein home, fire station and cigar factory.

Another visit entertained a family of descendants of the Ribbens family on Friday, August 3.  They loved finding connections to their Ribbens and Hollenstein ancestry in artifacts and photos from the past.
